1st day of school, 2006
Where I live, the kids go back to school starting the last week of August, an idea I still can't wrap my head around: they just got out in the middle of June! When I was a kid in Phoenix, Arizona, I remember getting out of school in the middle or near the end of May and not going back until after Labor Day. Maybe the fact that it's about 408 degrees in Phoenix during the summer had something to do with that. I think summer vacation should be longer than what it currently is, and I'm sure most kids would agree. 

Anywho, my older daughter, Beth, is going into 8th grade this year, and my younger daughter, Ally, is going into 2nd. Click on each thumbnail to see a larger version.
