ally jane's 10th birthday party
Our daughter Ally Jane turned 10 this past February, and she decided that what she really wanted for her birthday was to raise money for the animal shelter where we had adopted her dog Tiki. She asked her friends and relatives for donations, and we threw her a dog-themed pool party at the local college. Click on each thumbnail to see a larger version.

For her birthday, Ally decided to dye her
hair pink and wear a sash and tiara to school

For the party, Joni baked a doggy cake and pawprint-cupcakes

Everyone in the pool--including the grown-ups! Ally hung out with her friend Emmaleigh

Ally's cousins Dmitri and Maggie, who live a few minutes away from us

The kids sat on pool noodles and formed a conga line that Ally's friend Cade (center photo) led

Sorry, ladies, all three of us are taken

While her Aunt Alex held the cake,
Ally Jane led the singing

Everyone had a really good time!

Ally Jane raised over $450 for the animal shelter, which she presented to the County Commissioners. Our local paper was there, and ran an article on her.
