The evening started with the girls sitting around the table, with Beth opening her presents

If you're a 14-year old girl, you can't have too many earrings. Ally Jane is mightily impressed with some of the loot

After that, it was cake time. Because you're never too old for birthday cake

The girls then decorated aprons they would use for baking
Beth already had one, and is, of course, extremely proud of it

Even in the 21st Century, girls like to make a few dozen cookies...

...or maybe just one giant, mutant one

After using our camcorder to make their own, silly movie, the
girls watched some real movies until they all finally passed out

The next day, after the others had gone home, we gave Beth her presents from us. 
More earrings, a new winter coat, and a Nancy Drew computer game (Beth loves those)
