dos blizzardoes (february 2010)
Usually, winters here in Scenic, Convenient-to-Nowhere, Maryland don't have much snow. If we do get some, it's usually an inch or so, like in the photo below:

Light snow in January

Lately, however, in addition to a snowstorm we had right before Christmas, we've had two blizzards pretty much back-to-back, only a few days apart. The first one was February 5-6, and dumped 28" on us. The second came on February 10, and added 12 more inches. Click on the thumbnails to see a larger version of each photo.

Beth's car--at least, I'm pretty sure that's Beth's car and not Joni's....

Our house; our neighbors' house across the street

Looking down my street at my neighbor Andy's thoroughly-buried Ford F-150

Our ancient heat pump (which held up nicely) and our back yard

The aftermath: our neighbors' mini-van and a monstrous,
3'+ long icicle outside Ally-Jane's bedroom window

The dogs were happy to go for a romp in the snow...

...as were certain girl-children I know

After a day or so, the top of the snow froze enough
for our dog Tiki to be able to walk on it

Our 4' fence had suddenly become a 2' fence.
Who knows if we'll get more....
