This past summer, we returned to Dutch Wonderland, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. DW is the perfect amusement park for little kids, with lots of rides their size. It has a water park and several "big kid" rides that older kids and grown-ups will enjoy, too. Like Kennywood, Dutch Wonderland has an "old-time" feel to it. One of the features at Dutch Wonderland is "Middle Earth Theatre," where audience members dress up in costumes and take roles in a silly play narrated by one of the park staff. This year, the play was about a singing contest held in a medieval village. Joni and I played town citizens, Beth was "Chlotilda," a singer (and one of the main characters), and Ally was a princess, one of numerous daughters of "the King" (played by that tall fellow in glasses, below)
