dutch wonderland, 2006
This past summer, we returned to Dutch Wonderland, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. DW is the perfect amusement park for little kids, with lots of rides their size. It has a water park and several "big kid" rides that older kids and grown-ups will enjoy, too. Like Kennywood, Dutch Wonderland has an "old-time" feel to it.

One of the features at Dutch Wonderland is "Middle Earth Theatre," where audience members dress up in costumes and take roles in a silly play narrated by one of the park staff. This year, the play was about a singing contest held in a medieval village. Joni and I played town citizens, Beth was "Chlotilda," a singer (and one of the main characters), and Ally was a princess, one of numerous daughters of "the King" (played by that tall fellow in glasses, below)

We'll be back!
