Back in 2002, the public school system in my area was having a contest to re-design their logo. First prize was $100, and they encouraged entrants to use the schools system's mission to "educate, encourage, and enable students."

At the prompting of my wife Joni, I designed and entered this:

To my surprise, my entry won. Now this logo is used on school correspondence, on signs, and on the uniforms of the school employees. Whenever Joni and I are out and we see the logo somewhere, I tell her, "Hey, that's a nice logo."
