random acts of silliness (spring, 2008)
Something about springtime brings out the silliness around my place. How about yours?

Most people think dandelions are weeds. Ally and our neighbors' cat, Ron, think
they're great fun to pick and play with

Ally has kindly "decorated" Ron with dandelion seeds...

...and is helping to spread more seeds over our yard

Perturbed by the arrival to our house of two new cats, Clawdia vents her considerable frustration
by attempting to rend a helpless blue featherduster to shreds. I told you she was evil.

After committing such a depraved act of
brutality, it's time to slake her thirst

Ally and her beloved "Binga-Boinga" bouncy ball

As we were moving Mike's old pavilion to our backyard, Joni wondered why we
couldn't have waited until dark to do that, so the neighbors wouldn't see...

Speaking of dark, one evening, Beth and Ally
and Mike's daughter Jade built a "fort" out of
branches I trimmed off our butterfly bush...

If you're our dog Cecilia, springtime is a good time to lie around in unladylike positions.
If you're our toad Mowbrey, it's a good time to do froggy pushups on the glass of your aquarium

Our bathroom faucet leaked, so we put a beach bucket under it. One of our new cats,
Cougar, learned that it was great fun to tip over the bucket. Repeatedly.

We replaced the faucet, so it doesn't leak
anymore, but we've kept the bucket there anyway,
because "Bucket Cat" was sad without it.
Silly, isn't he?
