In February and March, Ally was
in the kids' chorus of our local high school's production of Joseph
and the Amazing
Technicolor
Dreamcoat. She's posing with "Joseph" (at left); "Pharaoh" and the
"Butler" in the center photo; and with
some of her friends (and fellow
chorus members) and "The Narrator" in the photo at right.

Also in March, our girls' dance
troupe visited a nearby nursing home and performed
for the residents (you can see more
dance photos, from last Christmas, here)

For Easter, we joined a good chunk
of Joni's relatives at her sister Liz's house in Virginia

At the end of March, Ally fell and
broke her arm; Ally introduced Beth and Joni to Webkinz;
"Princess" from around the corner
frequently escapes from her yard and comes to visit us
(much to our delight--she's a very
sweet little dog. Alas, her owners know where to find her)

At the end of May, Beth got her
braces off. A few weeks later, in June, Ally got hers off, too.
That's right: I had two kids in
braces. Our orthodontist has named his new boat after me.

Ally did a school project on Abigail
Adams; we commissioned this portrait of my folks' dogs
for my mother's birthday; with a
tremendous amount of help from my neighbor Mike and his
friend Rob, we replaced all the
plumbing and redid one of our bathrooms

Under Mike's tutelage, I'm actually
learning how to fix stuff around the house. At the beginning
of June, the girls (including their
cousin Natasha) performed in their annual dance recital

Beth won the "Silver Slippers" award
for leading the dance
troupe. We got to go onstage with
her as the dance instructor,
Dr. Teri O'Meara, presented it to
her

Also in June, at the end of the
school year, Ally performed in a choir concert and racked up all "A's"
in
her classes again (as did Beth).
They must get their study habits from their mother...

With summer coming on, Ally decided
to get her hair cut short, just like she
did two years ago, and donate it
to "Locks of Love"
Lord only knows what we'll do in
the second half of the year...
